The team at J.A.B.A. Construction Limited would like to take this opportunity to recognize Colin Syverson and his company for their excellence in the electrical trade. As general contractors, we depend on our subcontractors to be professional, meet our schedules and deadlines and provide quality workmanship.
General contractors hold great responsibility and serious liability if anything negative were to ever occur on a jobsite. That is why it is so refreshing to work with an insured, qualified company that is willing to adapt our company policies while they are working on our sites. At Storm Electric, they work safely, professionally and with care.
Colin’s constant leadership during the course of the work makes it easy for our company to perform in a smooth and professional manner, and the input that Colin is always willing to share allows us to achieve the quality level and design intent that our customers demand. He has amazing customer service and no matter how busy he is, he always makes himself available so you feel like you are his number one customer. And when the job is done, he doesn’t just vanish. He always follows up and if there are ever any concerns or deficiencies, he quickly resolves them.
Attention to detail is demonstrated both in workmanship and with documentation. This strengthens communication to ensure that the homeowner, our employees and Storm Electric are working toward the same goal and that nobody proceeds without written authorization.
Today’s market allows the opportunity to price shop – but when it comes to our customers, we hand-pick the companies that meet our high standard requirements. It is with great pleasure that we have chosen to work with Storm Electric and we wish there were more companies in Saskatoon with Storm’s capability and integrity. We look forward to working with them every time.
Sincerely,
Dave Anderchek, President J.A.B.A. Construction Limited

I have been a co-member of BNI (Business Network International) with Colin Syverson owner of Storm Electric, for the better part of a year now and recently I had the pleasure of contracting his services to complete some electrical work in my home.
This project was very important to me and the timing was critical. Unfortunately, I had left things to the last minute, and did not contact Colin until just before I needed the work done. I was very impressed with how quickly he came to assess the work, and within a few days, he was working on my job.
Colin and his apprentice worked diligently for nearly an entire week on my kitchen renovation, as well as other electrical work such as adding wiring for smoke detectors and cleaning up old wiring in the basement that was not correct or no longer necessary. I was a very pleased with all the work he did. He was always there, working away at when he said you would be, the job site was kept tidy, and the work was just what I required.
I would definitely encourage people I know to contact Colin for all their electrical and needs. Hs enthusiastic approach and caring attitude make dealing with him pleasant and fun. I highly recommend Storm Electric for professional service, with a personal touch. I'm happy with all the work Colin did for me, and I can sleep at night knowing the wiring in my home is done correctly and safely.

Colin Syverson is ahead of the game.
Born in Provost Alberta and having lived in Calgary, Red Deer, Vancouver and Fort McMurray, he's chosen Saskatoon as the place to settle down. Syverson also started a home-based business, Storm Electric.
"I arrived in the heat of summer last May, "Syverson says, noting that he camped in and around Saskatoon for the season. "I was amazed by the beauty of the city, all the festivals and outdoor events that went on, and the fact it was so close to a lot of lakes."
"While I was first here I was looking at jobs back in Fort McMurray," he says, "but I enjoyed it too much and decided to stay here."
He soon discovered the city it was ideal for a small business like his.
"Many of the large companies are really busy and they don't have the time to do smaller jobs. That's what my company focuses on."
Through Storm Electric, he works on new-home construction and renovation projects, while also bidding on commercial work. Both markets are very hot right now he says.
Besides himself, he already created one new job for an assistant apprentice. He anticipates the business doing well enough that he may have to hire more.
"I got involved with BNI, a business network, and met a lot of people through that," Syverson says of how he has advertised. "Then I met some home inspectors who encouraged me to start the company and go after the smaller jobs."
Having worked as an Electrician since finishing high school in 1992, he jokes that the business success has cemented his career choice. "after I graduated, my Dad asked me what I wanted to do. I had no idea, so he got me a job working with an electrician. I said I'd stick with it until I figured out what I wanted to do. I'm still doing it, so I guess I haven't figured it out yet."
Syverson finds Saskatoon a great place to work, live and meet people.
"Everyone I've met has been very friendly and relaxed. Nobody seems to be in a rush. It's laid-back and I like how people in joy life and take a family-first approach."
He's now an ambassador for the city. "For anyone who believes the grass is greener on the other side, or is considering moving west take it from someone who was already been there: you won't find a better city than Saskatoon."
