EV Chargers
There are three different levels of electric vehicle chargers:
Level 1 is the most basic and is typically provided with your vehicle when you buy it. A Level 2 charger, however, typically requires a more advanced installation but is well worth it. It can yield 40 to 60 KM of range per hour, which is a big difference.
A Level 1 charger usually costs around $300-$600 while parts and labour may add an extra $1,200 more. A Level 2 charger costs about $500-$700 with the parts and labour possibly adding an additional $2,000. Although it may cost more upfront, a Level 2 charger seems to be a better option.
Level 3 chargers, also known as DCFC or DC Fast Chargers. These charging stations are the quickest way to charge a vehicle. Note that not every EV can charge at level 3 chargers. They are installed in specialized public, utility, or government-mandated Areas.
