This order allows persons who are not otherwise public utilities, as well as landlords and strata corporations, to provide EV charging services for compensation.
Please note that payment for electricity by kWh still requires a device approved by Measurement Canada, but charging stations have not yet been approved.
Rates by the hour, or a flat fee, to use a station are still the conventional methods of placing a rate on charging station use.
